Aaron Easton
Principal Attorney
Aaron Easton is the founder of Easton Cohen, PLLC and leads the firm’s practice with a focus on thoughtful advocacy, strategic problem-solving, and client-centered service. As a former law enforcement leader and one of California’s youngest municipal police chiefs, Aaron transitioned to the legal profession to make a broader impact. His goal is to help people navigate the justice system with clarity, fairness, and strong representation. His unique perspective from both sides of the system allows him to build stronger defenses, identify missed details, and advocate more effectively in high-stakes cases.
Aaron is driven by a deep commitment to ensuring that the law is applied fairly, whether defending clients in post-conviction matters, advising business owners, or guiding families through complex transitions. He founded Easton Cohen to be a firm where every client feels heard, informed, and fully supported from start to finish.
Sara Spahn
Law Clerk
Sara supports our team by conducting legal research and drafting memoranda related to post-conviction relief, including habeas petitions and sentence modifications. She collaborates with attorneys and investigators to review trial records and uncover legal grounds for claims such as actual innocence or prosecutorial misconduct. Sara is currently pursuing her J.D. at Oklahoma City University School of Law and holds a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Central Oklahoma. She is an active member of the Choctaw Nation and has a cat named Olive.
Bobby Staton
Private Investigator
Bobby brings over four decades of investigative experience to Easton Cohen, beginning with his service as a Special Agent in the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations. After 21 years in the military, he continued his investigative career with the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office and several roles in the insurance and private sectors. His background spans criminal investigations, insurance fraud, counterterrorism, and counter-espionage. Bobby is driven by the belief that thorough investigation can prevent wrongful convictions and offer second chances.
Josie Easton
Legal Assistant
Josie supports our team by managing client communications, coordinating daily operations, and keeping the office running efficiently. She’s often the first point of contact for clients and ensures every interaction is handled with care and clarity. Outside of work, she spends time with family, her two dogs, and explores creative hobbies like baking and graphic design.
