Aaron Easton

Founder & Principal Attorney

Aaron W. Easton is the Founder and Principal Attorney of Easton Cohen, PLLC, where he focuses on complex criminal defense, trial representation, post-conviction litigation, appellate advocacy, and civil rights matters. His practice emphasizes strategic legal analysis, careful factual development, and clear guidance for clients facing high-stakes legal challenges. Prior to entering private practice, Aaron spent more than a decade in public safety leadership, including service as a municipal police chief in California, where he was among the youngest in the state’s history. In that role, he oversaw investigations, personnel, policy development, and institutional decision-making. This experience provides him with a practical understanding of how cases are built, evaluated, and defended at the ground level, and it informs his approach to trial advocacy, motion practice, and appellate review. Aaron regularly serves as lead counsel in jury trials and evidentiary hearings, where his preparation-driven approach and command of the record are central to trial strategy and issue preservation. In addition to his litigation practice, he provides strategic oversight and case evaluation in matters involving complex procedural, constitutional, and evidentiary issues. He earned his Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law, where he served as Managing Editor of the Law Review and completed certifications in Criminal Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution. He also holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. His combined legal and executive background allows him to approach complex matters with experienced judgment and a solutions-oriented perspective.
